FOAM magazine redesign by BXC

The BXC crew is now the new consulting design team for FOAM magazine. FOAM is a high-quality women’s fashion, surf culture and music quarterly located in San Clemente, California. “FOAM has been evolving into awesomeness because of their passion, commitment and know-how. They’re the real deal.” say’s Dougherty, BXC’s Design Director “I’m excited to be working with this diversely talented crew of femme fatale. We have some fancy shoes to fill. GIRO snowboarding product graphics

Let It Snow! Launched at SIA and ASR – graphics we did with Giro ID department. Product previews SIA show, Mandalay Bay, Viva Las Vegas. I’ll keep adding product as shots materialize.

NIXON WATCHES Catalog Design

Here’s the catalog we collaborated on with Nixon and their crew this past fall. Nixon, if you don’t already know, is a men’s and women’s action sports lifestyle accessories brand and borders on the mainstream luxury goods markets. Unlike most brands that expand their tentacles towards mainstream consumers Nixon remains the coolest watch on the scene and committed to the core customer.

We’re so stoked. It’s not every day you get to work with such tight products, table top photography, athlete portraits and materials. BXC helped with layout, redesigned grids and were the heavy wrists for final pre-press production on both US and Euro versions. The catalog was printed beautifully at D.M. Steele in Fullerton, Ca. Surf Sportswear Ad Campaign – O’Neill

These are a few samples of the O’Neill European summer clothing branding campaign. This pan European ad campaign ran in all core surfing, windsurfing, snowboarding and action sports fashion magazines – most as front page spreads and back covers. They advertised young men’s and women’s summer and winter fashion product including boardshorts, shoes, outerwear and core accessories.

We also designed this 11×15 action sports photo calendar that kicked off the original ad campaign’s look and feel. These were not only used as corporate promo but were sold in surf shops all over Europe too. This calendar/ad campaign concept is one of my favorites, seeing that we were able to develop a 12 month campaign that successfully launched side-by-side with the consumers monthly calendar. Our work was done, so to speak.
